Re-envision Denny Park  Public Workshop

The Friends of Denny Park are working with The Berger Partnership on a plan to revitalize Seattle 's oldest park: Denny Park . The immediate goal is to create a children's play space and a multigenerational gathering area. Come and make your voice heard about what future phases of development should encompass and share your ideas on how the play space and gathering area should be developed.

  Landslide Awareness: Free Public Meetings 

Have a problem with a steep slope? Learn how to protect yourself and your property at free landslide meetings sponsored by the Seattle Department of Planning and Development and Seattle Public Utilities. An annual series, the meetings will provide presentations and individual consultation on best practices for managing landslide prone properties and will be held:

City of Seattle 2006 Comprehensive Plan Available

Seattle's 2006 updated Comprehensive Plan is now available. Printed copies are available from the DPD Public Resource Center, 20th floor of Seattle Municipal Tower at 700 Fifth Ave, (206) 684-8467. Copies of the replacement pages are free and the complete plan costs $15. The complete updated plan is also available on CD for free.

Small Sparks Community Development Fund is Waiting!  

Do you have ideas for building community that could use up to $250 from the City's Small Sparks program? Small Sparks seeks to bring together new people. The goal is to get new people (e.g., recent immigrants, youth, seniors, and people with disabilities) involved in creative small-scale community building initiatives.  If you have any ideas we would love to hear about them, and share information about the program with you! Passes for the Woodland Park Zoo and Seattle Aquarium are available at the NSC. These are only for low-income families and there is a limit of 4 per households .
